Also in this chapter the author explores how personal learning networks can help support lifelong learning by keeping the collaboration and knowledge-sharing in mind to help students in the classroom. Educators are then encouraged to embrace everyone's curiosity including themselves to take more risks and be open to new points of view. By doing so it will help students be more engaged in these digital spaces such as social media or even professional platforms. The teachers perspective can also help model lifelong learning for their students as well to help create a culture of inquiry. Lastly, the key takeaways for the chapter are that the world is constantly changing and the most important thing to remember is that learning how to learn is honestly the most important thing.
Chapter 3 “Learning to learn” is a good chapter to relate it back to my professional career choice. Wanting to be a physical therapist this chapter emphasizes the importance of continuous learning and professional growth. Being in the field of physical therapy there is always gonna be new research and different techniques and technologies which are constantly changing and growing. The author states that the connected educators use personal learning networks to help stay updated this is a good example because being a physical therapist it is important to be engaged in the ongoing education and making sure you are collaborating with your peers and also making sure to get all of the evidence- based practices to help stay on top of all of the information to help you patients and provide better patient care.
