While reading The Connected Educator: Developing a Connected Learning Model, the ideas that the author brings to get the audience's attention is the idea of a connected educator which is described as someone who uses digital tools to help engage them in a professional learning environment. Connected educators focus on building personal learning networks. The networks are designed to make up online communities and peers to help their intended audience collaborate and stay updated on any practices or projects anyone has done. This will help the audience get a sense of direction to use the tools and resources that have been given to make a better outcome for themselves. Also in this chapter the tools that were talked about were blogs, and any online forums that are used to help stay connected to each other for more improvement. Closing this allows others to use each other like a bouncy ball to bounce off of each other's ideas will help not only yourself but others for different teaching styles.
Another idea that the chapter talks about is the collaboration part while also keeping in mind the personal growth part required as a connected educator. First while trying to deal with the collaboration part the author's idea about using this idea will help you gain more knowledge of new ideas from each other, help bring different solutions to challenges together, and finally help with the global network in hopes of making it a bigger idea for others. By these ideas that were said they will allow others to collaborate with a stronger mindset for a better outcome into being a connected educator. Now as for the personal growth part the author makes a point to express how important a connected educator needs to have a strong growth mindset. With this being said, having a strong growth mindset will allow the educator to see that learning is viewed more as a long term process rather than a shorter one. Another idea that was talked about is having and encouraging educators to start with one platform and then take their time to expand their network. The reason for this is to help give them a stronger mindset and sense of direction to help empower them to be better for the needs of their students.

Now my career choice I would like to pursue is becoming a physical therapist. The concepts that were talked about in this chapter will absolutely help me with this career. For example, by using a personal learning network as a physical therapist it will help me with any people I will be in contact with at work, it will help with any of my bosses or mentors and it also will help me as a person. This will help me gain better knowledge of different online platforms that could help me gain more understanding of things. It will help me exchange any ideas for different treatments that would be a better solution for my patients. Going off of that also staying on top of more recent research and techniques to better expand my knowledge to help my overall goal as a physical therapist which would be to help my patients recover faster. The other idea talked about is the growth mindset which I feel is very important for a physical therapist. By using a growth mindset it will allow me to actively use my knowledge and seek for more to help me gain a better variety of different practices, clinical skills, and especially patient care. By using a growth mindset not only in the real world but globally to allow more of an opportunity to better every single skill that was talked about in this blog. Being a physical therapist has always been a dream so being able to use these skills will not help me gain a better point of view of extra resources and ideas that were in this chapter.
